You and i, we met today.
Under the clouds, i smile and say
"you are my night, and my day."
you and i, we met today.
under the sun, i say your name
"when you're away, its like the rain."
You and i, we met today.
Under the Moon, i kneel and pray
"wherever you are, you'll be okay."
You and i, we met today.
Under the stars, you turn and say.
"when im with you, i feel so safe."
And then.. i awake.
With nothing but memories to hold
but within that second, the memories gone.
If only my dream were true.
i would turn and say.
"I love you"

Have you ever gone to bed pretending someone was there with you? and to dream the perfect dream of which that someone is actually there with you, sometimes we awake and remember, but how many times do we forget.
Its been an emotional week, i figured writing poetry could be cathardic, 'an emotional cleansing'.
I spent several hours on this, its my first hand at poetry.
